Michelin brings their classic green cyclocross tread into the modern era with TLR tubeless-ready compatibility and a tread shape that works on mixed, hard, and soft riding race conditions.
Michelin's green tread compound of the late 90's and early 2000's came back to the forefront when Wout van Aert won the 2017 World Championship on the distinct green tread. It's now available in a version compatible with modern tubeless rims and makes an excellent choice for riders who want to race all conditions courses on tubeless.
With these tires you'll have secret-weapon performance on your side. They feature a Bead2Bead Protek anti-puncture belt beneath the tread and of course - that "look."
Don't be fooled by "mud" in the name of this tire... it's an excellent all-rounder, similar in capabilities to the Challenge Baby Limus or Clement PDX. The knobs are indeed widely-spaced to shed mud, but are much shorter than the knobs of a Donnelly BOS. A fine choice for the privateer who is going to race the entire season on one bike and one wheelset. If you want a true, dedicated tubeless-ready mud tire check out the Schwalbe X-One Bite for that kind of use instead.
