Clement (Donnelly) LAS Tubular Cyclocross Tire
Special buy! Last of the Clement LAS cyclocross tubular tires before the branding and packaging was switched to Donnelly. Classic silver Clement box with red graphics on tire sidewalls. Big savings, while supplies last.
The Cross Vegas night race is gone, but it leaves a legacy in the Clement LAS tread pattern for cyclocross bikes. LAS (named for the Las Vegas airport code) was designed for the Cross Vegas course, which is mostly fast, dry grass.
These conditions demand a fast-rolling tread. LAS features a diamond file type tread in the middle of the tire, and the side knobs from the Clement PDX for grip in corners. This is a great choice when you need flat out speed! Ideal for Las Vegas, SoCalCross, and other races held in dry conditions.
This cyclocross tubular features rubber-coated sidewalls for enhanced durability over traditional tubulars, preventing deterioration from water, mud, and dirt. There is no additional sidewall coating needed. High-quality manufacturing (made in Czech Republic) yields tubular tires that are much easier to install compared with other brands. The tire and tread are straight, and the base tape is consistent, resulting in a surface that is easy to glue/tape.
- 700x33mm size
- 378 grams
- Liquid sealant can be used with all Clement tubulars to prevent or repair typical punctures.
- A removable valve core allows for the installation of valve extenders, as well as easy insertion of tire sealant.
TECH NOTE: this is a tubular bicycle tire (also called a "sew-up".) It must be glued or taped onto a tubular rim for safe use. It will not work on a traditional clincher wheel/rim. Proper setup is essential for your safety - if you are not qualified to install tubular tires, please seek expert guidance first.
