Challenge Limus Pro Handmade Tubeless-Ready Pro HTLR Cyclocross Tire

The Limus tread dominates cyclocross in mud and wet! The classic Limus mud tread shape is mated here to the new HTLR handmade, tubeless-ready casing from Challenge, setting a new standard for performance of tubeless cyclocross tires.

Riders look to the Limus Pro when late-season weather turns bad, saturating cyclocross race courses. The deep knobs with plenty of space between cut through the mud so you can corner with confidence, stay upright on off-cambers, and get traction that transmits power on climbs.

Tall, aggressive knobs with plenty of space to clear mud

Limus uses tall knobs that cut through mud to find grip beneath the slop. With plenty of space between each knob, mud clearing is enhanced, preventing the tire from packing up with mud.

Meets cyclocross tire width rules

As with the other new HTLR cyclocross tires, the Limus Pro HTLR is designed to meet the UCI and USAC tire width rules (maximum 33mm wide) when used with rims with internal width of up to 23mm.

PPS Puncture Protection Strip

No one wants a race-ending flat tire. The HTLR line, including the Limus mud tire, utilizes Challenge PPS - a special fabric placed in between the tire casing and tread. This strip reduces the risk of a race-ending puncture.

High-end handmade tubeless casing

This version of the Limus is for cyclocross racers who demand top performance, featuring the new Challenge handmade (HTLR) tubeless-ready casing. The handmade casing creates a tire with low rolling resistance and the most comfort possible. 

A similar tire, the Limus TLR Vulcanized is also available for riders who prefer the same tread shape, but in a more economical casing option.

Meets ISO, ETRTO standards, plus hookless compatible

The HTLR line from Challenge meets the new ETRTO and ISO tubeless standards, and is also hookless compatible. 

Challenge tubeless-ready tires can be mounted with or without inner tubes. When used tubeless, a liquid tire sealant is needed (Challenge's own SMART tubeless sealant recommended, but others can be used as well.) Challenge tires should not be mounted on wheels that don't meet ISO or ETRTO standards.
