How to stream the 2023 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championship

The USA Cycling Cyclocross national championship takes place in Louisville, Kentucky December 5-10, 2023. Here's how to watch live stream coverage of the races.

FloBikes is the official streaming provider of the USA Cycling cyclocross national championship

FloSports owns the broadcast rights and these races will be shown on their FloBikes subscription package.

What you get with FloBikes

In addition to the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championship weekend, FloBikes is also the streaming provider to the USA for the UCI Cyclocross World Cup series, plus quite a bit of road racing coverage. You can view their full calendar here.

Limitations to be aware of

If you are not currently a FloBikes subscriber, here are a few cons and drawbacks to be aware of:

  • FloBikes is only offered as an annual subscription service. That means you can't subscribe to watch the cyclocross national championship, and then cancel a month later. You're in for a year.
  • FloBikes is only streaming the weekend days, December 9 and 10, 2023, which include the Junior, U23, and Elite categories. That means there is no live stream of the amateur races (including Masters, Collegiate, and Singlespeed) on December 5, 6, 7, or 8 at all. If you were hoping to tune in to watch a friend or family member on these days, FloBikes isn't a good solution.

Reviews of FloBikes

If you're on the fence about subscribing, I have an in-depth review of FloBikes that will help you, covering the pros and cons.

Didn't this used to be free?

Yes. Previously, USA Cycling handled their own live stream of the cyclocross national championship and offered it for free on YouTube, Facebook, etc.

Perhaps due to the considerable expense of producing the live stream, USA Cycling elected to sell the rights to FloBikes instead. Don't blame me.

What about a VPN?

Sometimes using a VPN (virtual private network) can help you stream live race coverage that otherwise woudn't be available in your country.

For example, if you subscribe to GCN and you're in the United States, you may not have access to some races that GCN streams in Europe. A VPN can "spoof" your location, tricking the system into thinking you're in Europe and allowing access to content that would otherwise be geo-blocked.

Using a VPN will not help you access a stream of the 2023 cyclocross national championship in the USA, because this isn't a geo-blocking issue - it's simply that the stream is controlled by a provider operating a pay service.
