2021 Flandriencross - Preview, Streaming instructions

For 2021, Flandriencross from Hamme ("hah-muh"), Belgium is part of the X²0 badkamers Trofee. It takes place on January 23. In prior years, it has sometimes been part of the Superprestige calendar.

'Cross legend Sven Nys won this one a whopping 7 times!

Final tune-ups before world championships

For 2021, Flandriencross is one of the last races before the cyclocross world championship, giving riders a final tune-up opportunity to test their fitness and technique.

On the Elite Men's side, Mathieu van der Poel has won the last 4 editions, and Flandriencross is on his preliminary schedule again this year. Annemarie Worst has taken the last 2 editions of the Elite Women's side. Worst won Koppenbergcross early in the 2020/21 season, but went backwards, citing injury and fatigue; Worst took a mid-season break for training purposes in an attempt to right the ship. She would need to make a big leap in results in order to make it 3 in a row.

Wout van Aert, fresh off a victory at Belgian nationals, is also scheduled to appear, in the last head-to-head battle with MvdP before Worlds.
